Journal
A record of the work, as it happens.
This page records what has actually been produced and decided. It is deliberately short: the project is young, and an empty journal is more useful than a padded one.
Entries.
- Project website published. The first release covers the vision, architecture, place, wellness, impact and feasibility narrative in Norwegian and English, together with the project-status system, the source register and the structure of the document library.
- A coherent set of concept illustrations was produced with AI assistance, all generated against one fixed orientation description so that the sea is consistently west, arrival is consistently from inland, and the building never appears to sit on the protected dunes. The set includes a neutral, flat-light view from the public beach specifically so that scale is not flattered.
- Initial regulatory and tourism research completed and compiled into a source register, covering the Scenic Route, the protected landscape of Jærstrendene, the 100-metre shoreline rule, Klepp's map and plan services, and national tourism strategy. Access dates recorded for every source.
- Working project name, descriptor and narrative structure established: The Arrival, The Heart and The Dune Roof, with the spa positioned as the year-round commercial and experiential core.
Being prepared next.
- Identification of relevant parcels and registered owners
- A first structured conversation with Klepp municipality about the study area
- Scoping and pricing of a site fatal-flaw analysis
- A brief for independent hotel and spa feasibility work
- Norwegian language review by a professional editor before wider public circulation
